Meet the author
Samuel Deuth is a passionate follower of Jesus, a husband, father, pastor at Awaken Church, an author, and disciple-maker with a heart for helping new believers take their first steps in faith. Having served in local church ministry for years, Samuel witnessed firsthand the gap that often exists between the moment someone says yes to Jesus and the moment they truly begin to grow as a follower of Christ. That gap became a kingdom assignment.
Out of that calling came FOLLOWING JESUS — a practical, accessible resource designed to walk new and seasoned believers through the 7 essential next steps of the Christian life. Samuel wrote this book not just as an author, but as a pastor who deeply loves the local church and believes that discipleship is one of the most important things a church can invest in.
Our Mission
We exist to help churches build intentional discipleship processes that serve the church in making passionate followers of Jesus that are making more disciples and establishing the Kingdom of God. We believe that every person who comes to faith needs a clear pathway forward — and that the local church is uniquely positioned to provide it.
